Resumo
Event production mainly encompasses the planning and execution phases and depends on the
appropriate involvement of several parties. This article aims at analyzing the possibilities of
applying strategies based upon the value net to the event industry. To carry out this analysis, I
employed the Delta Model since this approach considers the firm’s expanded scope and its
interactions with other value net actors. A case study has been conducted in an event production
company whose activities are regularly performed through a value net. Findings show that strategies
based upon the value net are consistent with the event planning and execution activities. Moreover,
I found that these strategies may be a means by which to have competitive edges that competitors
will hardly imitate.
