The rapid technological change and its development have led to an era of technology and applications that are leading us to transversal changes, based on the data that feed the Internet. This change is taking place through the Internet of Things (IoT), machine-to-machine (m2m) communications, robotics, big data, blockchain, and artificial intelligence (AI). In this context, it can be seen how artificial intelligence and blockchain are opening up, posing specific legal challenges to those imposed by technologies. Recent developments in AI are the result of increased processing power. The emergence of new traceability and authentication as blockchain can allow recording assets, participant transactions, which can provide valuable information on the origin and history. These facts should lead to study and to make regulatory proposals and to study the existing legal framework.pt_PT
