| Resumo: | Brachiaria brizantha cv. Marandu is one of the forage species most used in cattle feed in Brazilian production systems. The inadequate Desafios e Impactos das Ciências Agrárias no Brasil e no Mundo 2 Capítulo 1 2 management and lack of fertilization are one of the main causes in the degradation of Brazilian pastures, Nitrogen (N) has great prominence due to its great extraction and high response by grasses in general. The objective of this study was to verify the influence of applying different doses of nitrogen, with ammonium sulfate as a source, on the productivity of Brachiaria grass already established and with a medium degree of degradation. The experiment was conducted on the farm Vale do Porto, in the municipality of Brejinho de Nazaré- TO. with treatments distributed in DIC. The different dosages of nitrogen used in the experimental plots were (0, 50, 100, 150, 200 kg.ha-1), and productivity was evaluated at 40 days after nitrogen fertilization by assessing the tillering height (cm) -ALT-P; green matter (kg.ha-1) - M.V.; and dry matter (kg.ha-1) - M..S. and percentage of dry matter %M.S. And were subjected to anova, by the test of tukey (p>= 0.05) and regression. The results showed that the doses differed statistically. The ALT-P and M.V. showed that quadratic and linear model, respectively maximum height of 60.87 with the maximum dose of 297 kg.ha-1. Both parameters suggest an increment of new tissue associated with nitrogen. %M.S indicated that there is a decrease in this as the dose increases. Expressing that the concentration of nitrogen in the plant can increase the proportion of water. |
