Abstract: This article presents the results of a continuous research process and practices in the context of e/b-Learning training in Portuguese higher education. It summarizes the thoughts that result from more than 15 years of experience in the field of educational management, the paradigms of current higher education, the curricular design of courses adapted to the current information society and pedagogical innovation in higher education. The review of the literature, combined with the collection of data through interviews with managers of higher education institutions and questionnaires to teachers and students of higher education and personal experience, enabled the intersection between the main concerns listed in the literature on the Higher education and the analysis of current practice in this educational context.
