Dinâmica espacial da população: uma análise da evolução demográfica do Estado de Alagoas

Abstract

The demographic transition process in contemporary times has a direct influence with technological advances and economic development. Analyzing this phenomenon in a given spatial area based on available variables is essential to understanding how it occurs in a given place. In this article we use data from IBGE Demographic Census, TABNET and SIDRA to understand the population dynamics in the State of Alagoas from 1950 and projections up to 2050. From the organization of this information in excel spreadsheets, graphs and tables were generated to better describe the demographic evolution in comparison with the Northeast region and Brazil. In the scenarios generated it was observed that the structure of the population of Alagoas has been following the same trend as the Northeast Region and the country, with the decline in mortality and fertility rates and the increase in life expectancy.
