| Resumodc.description.abstract | Nature-based education has emerged as an innovative educational approach that promotes meaningful learning through direct interaction with the natural environment. This paper examines the importance of integrating nature into educational practices as a transformative response to contemporary challenges, including environmental degradation, climate change, declining environmental awareness, and the increasing disconnection between learners and nature. It highlights the potential of outdoor learning activities, environmental exploration, and experiential learning to develop critical thinking, creativity, social skills, and environmental responsibility among learners. Furthermore, nature-based education encourages active participation, holistic development, and the adoption of sustainable practices in everyday life. The paper emphasizes the need for educational institutions to incorporate nature-based approaches into teaching and learning processes, while recognizing challenges such as limited resources, inadequate teacher training, and insufficient access to natural spaces. It concludes that nature-based education can contribute to more inclusive, meaningful, and sustainable educational experiences, preparing learners to respond effectively to contemporary social and environmental challenges. | |
